Prosecco Al Amore

The tone of a party starts right when people walk through the door.

Your goal as the host is to make them feel comfortable. Whether you have just one guest or a hundred, nothing says welcome like a glass of bubbly, especially when the glass of bubbly has been adorned with the vibrant colors and flavors of fresh fruit and herbs. Plus, citric acid from the fruit helps with the digestion of the alcohol, so it will feel quite light, and the aromatic herbs will transport you to a Roman garden. Mostly, it will look absolutely fabulous.

Feel free to be creative. Mix up the herbs: try adding a bay leaf, a sprig of basil, or thyme. Experiment with the fruit: try lemon or kiwi, or add a slice of peach or watermelon in summer, or sprinkle in pomegranate seeds in the fall. Be inventive. Have fun.

Serve in champagne flutes, wine glasses, tumblers, or small mason jars.
